Teaching and Learning Along the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands- Speaker Series: Since Fall 2023, the Teaching and Learning Along the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands- Speaker Series is focused on preparing critically conscious border educators at the U.S.-Mexico borderlands by featuring teachers, student affairs educators, community leaders and artist dedicated to fostering the success of vulnerable student populations at the U.S.-Mexico border regions. Guest lectures have focused on Teaching STEM in Spanish, Teaching an English Language Development Curriculum in the Social Sciences, Centering the Success of Foster Youth from the Imperial Valley County, Teaching Adult Learners in the Imperial Valley County Prison System, Supporting the Success of Undocumented Students in Higher Education at the San Diego-Tijuana Border Region and Fostering the Success of Transfronterizx Students Across the Education Pipeline and Along the Southwest Borderlands.
